Mercury Morris was a 1969 3rd round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins who was selected for three Pro Bowls over his nine-year professional career. Mercury earned Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl VII and Super Bowl VIII. Morris, sharing halfback duties with Jim Kiick, was instrumental as part of the historic Dolphins undefeated team of 1972. That year, he ran for exactly 1000 yd, becoming, with teammate Larry Csonka, the first 1000-yard tandem in NFL history.
Mercury Morris sat down recently with Doug Ford for Dolfansites.com, the main website for the Miami Dolphins Web Weekend group of fan sites. Mercury talked about his playing days with the Dolphins and his new Rap Song about the 72 Perfect Team...that's right... at 60 years young, Mercury has put out a Rap CD!!
