The Rook would like to wish all Sheddawgs and their families a safe and happy 2006. As this is the last recap of the year, I would like to thank all those who read this column and I would like to acknowledge all those who made Rook's Recaps possible this season.

Well the NFL season has regrettably drawn to a close for the Dolphins and the Sheddawgs but what a way to go out. Six wins in a row topped off by a victory over the defending Super Bowl champs. Gotta love Ricky Williams getting it done once again, and hats off to the Dolphins D for setting a franchise record for sacks in a season. The season may be over but we have a lot to look forward to. I still can't beleive the fins had a winning season. Who would have thought that after they got clobbered by the Brownies!! Unbelieveable. The offseason looks promising as well. There's lots of cap room and ya gotta believe Nick Saban will get a top notch QB to take this team to the next level. Some highlights of the year for me would be the impressive play of Chambers down the stretch, finally getting to 1000 yards, JT and Zach once again were beasts, Ronnie will soon be the man, and Ricky still is the man. But the best moment would have to be the Buffalo comeback. What a game!!! The only downside to the year of course is no playoff game in the Shed but it's comin, I can feel it....The time to crank it up in the Postseason is coming Dawgs. The Dolphins are once again a respectable franchise. Thank You Nick Saban.
