Rooks Recap 2008

ROOK’S RECAP 5.0

“I've got to admit it's getting better
A little better all the time”

                                                                               -The Beatles

FINAL SCORE: Dolphins - 17; Chargers 10

Just like the lyric says, things really are getting better, a little better all the time. Now if you’re like me, you been running down the dolphins schedule and re-working the amount of wins this year based on a beatdown of the patsies and a great, tough win over a San Diego team that is loaded with talent. Well be warned......I’m thinking 10 win season BABYYYYYY!!!!!! Great work from Pennington, the WILDCAT worked again (even if it was a botched attempt as it looked like in the replay), and the dolphin D stepped up big. Now, in my experience being a Sheddawg and a fin-fan, we know this team has a history of playing up to the level of talent of its opponent. But we also know that they have a recent history of being losers. Parcells and the gang have changed the latter, so let’s hope they can do the same for the former and the Fins keep this streak going into a sub-par team in Houston. GO DOLPHINSSSSSSSSSS.

Cheers to: Ricky Williams for throwing a great block to create a TD and for not smoking pot during the bye week.

Jeers to: Dan Carpenter for missing a makeable FG that would have made it 20-3

Dawg-O-Meter: 9
**Since it’s been so long since the Dolphins have actually won a game, not to mention 2 in a row, the Dawg-0-meter for a win will be a 9 for the remainder of the season. Only a superbowl win or a win by the Dolphins whilst any Dawgs are at said game will warrant a 10**

Ally’s All-star dolphin: The Entire DOLPHIN D for the huge Goal Line stand that sealed the deal!!

Bum of the week: None

Melanie’s Quote of the week

“We want respect. After last year, going 1-15, we really don't have much. How you get it is you go out and you take it, and I think we took a step in that direction today." - Miami safety Yeremiah Bell
